The Firm’s Busy Season Begins
This week marks the beginning of an exciting few months for Sisson & Banyas, Attorneys at Law.
At our home base in Northeast Ohio, we received a Vector Series Grill from one of our clients, Oracle Lighting. In the coming weeks we will add this grill, which is fully equipped with LED lights, to our company vehicle, “Justice the IPR Jeep.” In the coming months, we plan to upgrade Justice not only with the Vector Series Grill, but also with several other products made by our customers who are Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) members. We look forward to displaying Justice, complete with all of its upgrades, at this year’s SEMA Show in November – come find us at Booth 33222 to check it out!

In addition to the excitement in the office, the firm’s attorneys, Ed Sisson and Jeffrey Banyas, began an exciting few weeks of travel yesterday, too! Yesterday morning, Ed caught an early flight to North Carolina, where he will visit with customers and attend his son David’s college graduation. On Sunday, David will graduate from Davidson College with a degree in Physics. This fall will find David living in Paris, France and working at the Academie de Versailles. After his time in North Carolina, Ed will fly to Munich, Germany for an opposition proceeding at the European Patent Office. Following the opposition proceeding, Ed plans to head to Italy to visit with friends and customers.

With Ed in North Carolina this weekend and in Europe next week, Jeffrey Banyas, another one of the firm’s attorneys, is attending the International Trademark Association’s (INTA) Annual Meeting this year. Though Ed has attended in the past, this is Jeffrey’s first year attending the event, which is taking place in Boston, Massachusetts this year. In addition to attending the educational sessions, Jeffrey looks forward to meeting with his fellow trademark professionals from around the world. While in Boston, Jeffrey will meet not only with attorneys in the firm’s existing international network, but also with new contacts.

We look forward to telling you more about Ed and Jeffrey’s travels and our updates to the Jeep – be sure to check back in with us here, and to follow us on LinkedIn and Facebook.
