INTA Wrap-Up

Boston Harbor

As many of your know, Jeffrey Banyas, one of the firm’s attorneys, attended the International Trademark Association’s (INTA) Annual Meeting last week. The meeting, which took place in Boston, Massachusetts this year, drew over 9,500 attendees from more than 140 countries.

While at the Annual Meeting, Jeffrey had the opportunity to attend educational programs, to meet with current and potential associates from around the world, and, of course, to discuss hot topics in the trademark and brand protection fields.

Jeffrey reported that the conversations later in the week mirrored the conversations he had throughout the beginning of the meeting – addressing counterfeiting around the world, particularly in China, continues to be a popular topic of conversation. Many of the firm’s existing philosophies around brand protection were reinforced through Jeffrey’s discussions.

Ed Sisson, the firm’s principal attorney, looks forward to having similar discussions when he attends the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property’s (AIPPI) World Congress in London this September. Let us know if you are also attending the AIPPI World Congress and would like to set up a meeting.
